Heather has a master's in exercise physiology with a concentration in chronic disease and obesity and a bachelor's in health and physical activity from The University of Pittsburgh. She's held many positions in the health and wellness world, from a strength and conditioning intern to a chronic disease manager for a health insurance company. The central overarching theme in many of those positions was the need for education and preventative health. Being an African American, Heather saw many in her community getting sick and dying from preventive lifestyle-related conditions. The main thing they lacked was the education on how to eat well and move more. She saw the health disparity gap and decided to do something about it. Heather created her blog, platforms on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, to educate her community and others on a sustainable healthy lifestyle. The main problem Heather wants to solve is teaching people that being healthy does not have to be difficult and how to find easy ways to fit it into their lifestyle. She shows people how she manages her healthy lifestyle while enjoying the things she loves, like great restaurants, travel, and hobbies. It's all about balance!
